About Us

A note from our Chairperson – Karen Barette

Home Farm Equestrian Club was started on May 9th 2020 (Liberation Day).

The initial Committee comprised of myself, Carol and Topaz Gay, Naomi Refson, Linda Powell, Jodie Phillips and Abbi Harris. We all felt there was room for a fun, supportive friendly club who could cater for all ages and abilities. We wanted to provide various clinics and demonstrations to give people confidence and a social supportive Community, whilst reaching individual goals. Our emphasis was a fun, friendly and kind group.

Our club has grown and gained popularity very quickly and we are now proud to say we have 266 members, ranging from just 3 years to 66 years of age. Our Committee has grown too, we are all passionate about our Club and we could not wish for a better group of friends.

We have two wonderful local trainers, Penny Cruttwell and Naomi Aguilaras well as International Dressage Rider Jodie Phillips, who is based in the UK . We provide a variety of clinics from Confidence Building, Poles, jumping, dressage, shows, mindset, biomechanics demos and anything else our members ask us for.  We are all working very hard, but we could not have achieved what we have achieved without the daily support of my amazing husband Trevor Barette, who has provided our wonderful facilities to make this all possible.

Our members have been so supportive right from the very beginning and we are all excited for Home Farms Future!”
