Hey! I’m Fern, 22 years old and the owner of 19 year old Gulliver who is still young at heart!
I was born in Jersey and have always had a love for animals. I’m a mammal keeper at Jersey Zoo and love the variety of animals I have the opportunity to work with. I
have owned G since August 2020 and began competing last year, working from 50cm jumps up to a course of 95cm! If you’ve seen me in the ring it probably wasn’t quiet or boring, that’s for sure! I also joined the Jersey Drag hunt season in 2022 which was awesome. Our favourite place to be is definitely on the beach, for a gallop and a splash in the sea.
My aim this year is to compete in the puissance class at JHOYS 2023, qualify for the 90cm showjumping class and hunt again. But most importantly enjoy every day and everything we do together. I enjoy paddle boarding, sea swimming, boxing, spending time with friends and family, going out for food and travelling when I’m not with Gulliver:) Come say hi if you see us around !
